BEST LAID PLANS. I had hoped to setup some pre-scheduled daily post for the next couple of weeks while I'm having a hip replacement tomorrow, but I ran into a little problem with my Hosting/Blog software (I'm still not sure who I need to fix my problem) and now I've just run out of time. So today will be my LAST POST for a few weeks because I'll be in the hospital for about 5-6 days and then to a recovery center for a week or so. * - - - - - *
(Click on the image for a larger view.) Speaking about my HIP REPLACEMENT it's been a chore to get this done. The snow just before Christmas caused me to cancel two doctor appointments.
I'm now scheduled to go in tomorrow but guess what. . . it snowed last night and as I write this at 5:30 am, I now have about 2-3 inches in my neighborhood. See the image I just took out of my kitchen door to my back yard.
I don't know at this moment if it'll happen tomorrow or not. I'll have to check with the hospital/doctor later today.
Also my daughter was going to come over from Seattle and give me a ride (she worries I'll take her out of my will (he. . .he. . .he. . .)). But if the snow is like it is here over there I hope she stays home. She is my sweet heart and is always there for me. Now if I could just get her to buy me a Cadillac.

Oh CRAP. . . I just thought of something. Yes I do from time to time think, not often but I do.
In getting ready for this HIP thing tomorrow I have had to give myself ' 5 ' shots. The last one is due this morning. It has to do with the thickness of my blood.
Anyway I have always hated the needle and for me to be able to give myself these shots for me is just amazing. Now if I don't have my surgery tomorrow I'll have to do this all over again.
Life isn't fair.

Yesterday I spent half a day doing my bill. I pay them online but I also use a spreadsheet to keep track of my spending. I've learned after 50 years that I needed to pay my charges off at the end of each month. . . the one great thing that has given me a bit of pride after not watching my spending in my earlier life. All this crap with the economy being in the crapper is something I don't worry about anymore. That being said I ALWAYS check my credit card bill against what my spreadsheet says I charged so I know that someone isn't using my card. Yesterday I noticed a small $2.83 charge that said (fee) on it. So I called my credit card company and asked what that fee was and she said it was part of a fee that I had them remove a few months ago when Chase bought Citi card but Citi didn't forward my payment to Chase after about 3 months. I wrote about at the time. I didn't get mad but I was getting pissed because she wasn't listening to me. After about 5 minutes she finally said ok she would remove the $2.83 charge. You have to take success when ever you can get it. * - - - - - *I BEG YOUR PARDON
I hope the hell Detroit is listening.

I was going to try to do my blog ahead but it's more work than I have time for so I may just do a very short version instead. It looks like I'll be down for maybe 2-3 weeks. * - - - - - * Life is all about timing right? Well for me it's starting to look like I made my move a little to soon. A couple of months ago I had an 5 year ARM on my house at 4.25%. Well it was scheduled to adjust in March 2009. I'd had it for the past 5 years and with all the talk about the economy and not being able to get a loan I decided I'd test the waters at that time and move to a 30 year fix rate loan if I could. Turns out it was easier than I though and I ended up with a 5.75% 30 year loan, which was better than the 6.25% rate I was faced with had my ARM adjusted. Now the bad news . . . I just checked Bankrate.com and the rate today is 5.2%. LIFE'S A BITCH AND THEN YOU DIE. * - - - - - * I don't drive much anymore yet I like to keep track of the mileage I do put on both my car and truck. I've done this ever since I first bought my car back in 2002. As of the last day of 2008 I have 25,261 total miles on my car now. I drove it a total of 2,342 miles in 2008 for a annual yearly average of 3307 miles. This past year I drove my truck for a total of 32 miles. I do get a low mileage rate on my insurance but it still costs me $429.00 per year. Which reminds me it is now due. * - - - - - *I BEG YOUR PARDON
