Im still having some problems with my Windows 7 system and this is a BRAND NEW SYSTEM. Now the problem is in the Sound card. If you look at the very last post in Saturdays edition youll see that there is now sound. I tried everything I know but nothing worked. I swear to GOD I hate Windows 7.* - - - - - *
I am playing with a new program called Naturally Speaking. It's a program that allows you to dictate via a microphone into your program like Word or Excel. As you dictate the program translates your voice into text. Of course wouldn't you know I had trouble installing and setting up the microphone. I was almost ready to give up but decided to use an old Microsoft microphone that I have had for many years. It is magic because it started to work after I swapped out the old one. During the setup you go through a training process to teach it how you speak. Once I got past the installation, the training process was quite simple. You read several paragraphs to train it to understand your voice then it goes through a process and when done it's ready to go. I haven't used it that much yet but from what I can see it looks like it'll help me kick out a letter in half the time. After I write my article I'll check the spelling and see how well it does which will be the real test. As you know if I type 1000 words a minute and they're all misspelled what good is it. * - - - - - *DOES THIS HURT YOU
