Did you watch the speech last night? I can only say that President Obama makes me so proud and confident that he will put this country back on the tracks. * - - - - - * I mentioned that I did my own Taxes using TurboTax and then using the e-File option. One of the things I learned was that although I had given a lot of furniture and other house hold items to charity it wasn't A REAL CHARITY like GOODWILL and such. This was a guy from Poulsbo that was trying to help the flood victims down south of Olympia. I didn't think I could claim any of the value and if I did I might get challenged so I didn't claim any of it. This year my goal is to clean out my house of all the stuff I don't use or need anymore. For example old 5-1/4 inch floppy disks, small appliances, vhs recorders, and so on. I'm cataloging and taking pictures of everything that I will be giving to St Vincent de Paul. I will put a value for each item and use this when I do my Taxes next year. Hope all this effort keeps me out of jail. * - - - - - *HOUSE OF CARDS 9 and 10 of 24

JON STEWART ON THE POOR HOUSE
Jon Stewart takes on the Governors.
* *LAME REPLY
Gov. Bobby Jindal's task tonight, to rebut President Obama's first address to a joint session of Congress, was a thankless one. But it still constituted an opportunity for the Louisiana Republican to show that he could handle the national spotlight, present himself as a fresh face of the Republican Party, and stand up to the current president oratorically.
On each of these three hurdles, he came up short. Both Democrats and Republicans alike panned Jindal's rebuttal in terms that were decidedly harsh: "amateurish," "laughable" and, most commonly, "a missed opportunity." "After watching Jindal," one Democratic strategist emailed, "I'd pay a lot of money to be back watching a Palin speech." "Awkward with capital A," emailed another.STILL BUSHED
Keith Olbermann has listed the various scandles in the Bush administration. Here are three more.
Next generation of Bush emerges Still Bushed: Speaking to the Young Republican National Federation meeting in Orlando, Jeb Bush's son, George, ripped Gov. Charlie Crist, R-Fla., for accepting, endorsing and even expressing gratitude for the stimulus program. Watch in Still Bushed. * *WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD
Keith Olbermann picks the three worst persons in the world.
McConnell attacking what he doesn't understand Worst Persons: Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., claimed that letting the Bush tax cuts expire for people making more than a quarter of a million dollars really means increasing taxes on small businesses. Countdown's Keith Olbermann explains how incorrect that statement is in Worst Persons in the World. * *DOGS RULE - YOU CAN SEE THE LOVE
