OFF TO ALASKA

This weekend on my BLOG I said that Steve Doocy of Fox and Friends made a CLASSIC video clip that Jon Stewart had on his show last week. See 8/30/8 or 8/31/8 post.

SHE WAS FOR IT BEFORE SHE WAS AGAINST IT

On SARAH PALIN it's funny how the republicans like to change history. HELL they think it's even OK to LIE. ON THE POLAR BEAR ABOUT the closest most Americans will ever get to a polar bear are those cute, cuddly animated images that smiled at us while dancing around, pitching soft drinks on TV and movie screens this holiday season.

This is unfortunate, because polar bears are magnificent animals, not cartoon characters. They are worthy of our utmost efforts to protect them and their Arctic habitat. But adding polar bears to the nation's list of endangered species, as some are now proposing, should not be part of those efforts.

SHE WAS FOR IT BEFORE SHE WAS AGAINST IT (THE BRIDGE TO NOWHERE)

On the CBS Evening News, Bob Schieffer asserted that Gov. Sarah Palin is "someone, you know, who is against earmarks, who is against that bridge to nowhere." But Palin's administration has said it requested federal earmarks in 2008, and she reportedly initially supported the so-called "bridge to nowhere" project.

Can you tell me what it is exactly that John McSAME (the apparent acting president of the United States) is doing in New Orleans, except getting in the way.

I saw this on the Internet:

I know that if I lived in an area that was trying to prepare / evacuate in advance of a major national disaster, what I'd really want would be for a presidential candidate to swing by for a campaign appearance, distracting local political officials and drawing down resources of the local public safety agencies. After all, it'll look good on camera to be engaged with the problem!

By the way the picture was taken just 3 years ago on the day that Katrina hit New Orleans. Just another LIE FROM THAT OLD, OLD MAVERICK MCSAME CLAIMING THAT HE WAS BASHING HIS GOOD BUDDY BUSH TO RESPOND TO NEEDS OF NEW ORLEANS.

It's funny how as you get older your memory seems to get dim.
