I know that Hillary is expected to win today but it would be great if Obama made it much closer than the 25 to 30 percent lead they are talking about.

I've noticed that I haven't see any of those so called "MILATARY EXPERTS" in the last couple of weeks. Gee ever since that report in the NY TIMES came out that said these "EXPERTS" were getting a line fed to them by the pentagon. HMMMMM.

HEALTH CARE IN AMERICA 1 OF 4

I've had a little experience with the importance of a good Health Care plan. Back in Oct/Nov 2006 I had Open Heart Surgery. They did a bypass and replaced one of my Heart Valves. I should have been out of the Hospital in about 6 days but due to complications I stayed for 22 days and then went to a recovery center for almost 2 additional weeks.

I haven't a clue as to what the total cost of this was and keep in mind I had a number of visits to my Doctors for the previous 6 months including a couple of trips to Seattle to have a Stint put in my neck.

The reason I don't know how much the total cost was is because I never received a single bill. To be sure I did get a monthly statement that listed the charges but my insurance and Medicare paid them in full. Something for which I am very, very grateful.

Last week Bill Moyers did a segment of the fight for Health Care in California which I found very interesting. So for the next 4 days you can see the fight right here.

I must say I'm very lucky because I worked for the Government as a civilian for almost 35 years and was able to keep my Health Insurance when I retired about 10 years ago.

This is the type of insurance EVERY AMERICAN should have even if I have to pay more in my taxes it's just not an option.

I found this on Crooks and Liars. I think Congress has scheduled a Hearing on what happened, I hope so.

It's funny just how quite all the networks have been about this problem. Maybe a little RED in the face.

I have to give Howard Kurtz some credit because he hasn't backed away from the Military Generals scandal. He plays audio from one of the military analysts who was part of the propaganda scandal with the Pentagon and who lovingly praises Rumsfeld. It looks like O'Reilly was used in the same way that Dick Cheney used Russert in spreading their talking points to the American people. What say you, O'Reilly?
Kurtz: The networks continue to ignore that New York Times story about TV's military analysts getting briefings and talking points from the Pentagon as they defended the Iraq war effort.
We reported twice on this program a huge batch of documents and e-mails show how cozy that relationship was. But now comes an audiotape of it, 2006 meeting between more than a dozen analysts and Don Rumsfeld, in which some of the retired military officers are giving the secretary advice on selling the war.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: We would love for you to take the offensive and just go out there and just crush these people. You are the leader. You're our guy. You go on O'Reilly, and you've got him eating out of your hand because you're smart.
KURTZ: Eating out of your hand. And these men were presenting themselves to television viewers as objective military analysts.

Keith Olbermann has listed the various scandles in the Bush administration. Here are three more.

False claims of weapons from Iran. Major General Kevin Bergner ended a news conference in Baghdad last Wednesday listing 20, 000 ammunition, explosives, and weapons captured or uncovered by U.S. and Iraqi government forces in Iran during the last few weeks. When U.S. explosive experts took a second look, they said none of these items were from Iran.

WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD

Keith Olbermann picks the three worst persons in the world.

O’Reilly unapologetic about wanting to out ferry suspects. Last year, Bill O’Reilly sent one of his producers to the home of Seattle Post-Intelligencer publisher to scold him. The PI refused to print pictures of ferry passengers taking pictures and “acting suspiciously.” The FBI recently announced that those passengers were, indeed, innocent. O’Reilly has not apologized for his rant.
