I'M JUST SAYING.jpg

Why does Bill O'Reilly have what he calls a "big interview" with say Hillary Clinton and John McCain and then for the next week he has different folks (that agree with him) spend hours talking about what a great job he did in the interview.

CHENEY WAS RIGHT ONCE. . . check it out below.

MISSION NOT ACCOMPLISHED 5 of 5

This is the last in the series so here here is a little background on these two guys.

Victor S. Navasky is chair of the COLUMBIA JOURNALISM REVIEW and the George Delacorte Professor of Magazine Journalism at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism. He is former editor and publisher of THE NATION magazine, for which he now serves as publisher emeritus. Navasky, a member of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences, is the author of KENNEDY JUSTICE, NAMING NAMES, and A MATTER OF OPINION.

Christopher Cerf is cofounder and president of Sirius Thinking, Ltd., an educational television production company. He helped launch NATIONAL LAMPOON and SESAME STREET. Christopher Cerf currently serves as Executive Producer and Music and Audio Producer of the PBS children's series BETWEEN THE LIONS and is chairman of the board of advisors to Random House's Modern Library. He is the coeditor of THE OFFICIAL POLITICALLY CORRECT HANDBOOK, THE GULF WAR READER, and THE IRAQ WAR READER.

WHAT CHANGED?

Dick Cheney at the American Enterprise Institute

During the interview with Bill Moyers, Christopher Cerf mentions the one expert he and Navasky did find whose predictions were validated and whose statements they included at the end of their book: Dick Cheney.

"Because he was interviewed in 1994 by our rival institute, the American Enterprise Institute. And he was uncanny in his predictions. He said that if we tried to invade Iraq and go all the way to Baghdad, we'd find ourselves caught between the Sunnis and the Shiites. He said that Turkey wouldn't like that, and they could come down to try to deal with the Kurds. He worried about-- we could end up as an occupying power and be there for years. He was very prescient."

BUSHED

Keith Olbermann has listed the various scandles in the Bush administration. Here are three more.

Not understanding the 'war on terror' words. In a column for a Pa. newspaper, former Sen. Rick Santorum said, "Never use 'jihadist' or 'mujahadeen' or 'Islamo-fascist' to describe our enemy. These words are deemed pejorative and offensive." He may have missed the point. These words actually mean "the struggle to do good."

WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD

Keith Olbermann picks the three worst persons in the world.

Cindy McCain on husband's 'non-negative campaign' Cindy McCain told Ann Curry that an Obama-McCain presidential race would not be negative. However, Sen. John McCain has already run a smear ad in North Carolina against Obama and his campaign has also implied that the Hamas favors Obama for president.

JUST THINK ABOUT IT

There are three kinds of men: The ones that learn by reading. The few who learn by observation. The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.
