BILL-O PART TWO
Well today is the big day. This will be BILL O'REILLY's first night back on his show The O'Reilly Factor after his STUPID USO remark a week or so ago where he said "As far as I know, the only famous people in the past year were (country music singer) Toby Keith and me." See my Post on 11/23/2007.
The USO sent him a letter saying that he should set the record straight and that they would like to talk to him about this on his show. As I said last week we'll just have to wait for tonight's show to see what he says. BTW I saw an quick ad yesterday on FOX that said BILL-O will show up on FOX and FOOLS (err FRIENDS) this morning. I'm thinking it's a way to soften the impact of what will be his so called apology on his show later tonight. I'm recording F&F and will post a video if they say anything about this subject. Don't forget Al Franken beat him to Iraq and Afganistan by a year. That's not anything he'll mention on the air. More to follow.BILL-O FOLLOWUP
A quick follow up on this. Bill-O called into the Fox and Friends show this morning in my opinion to COVER HIS ASS for his USO comments. His SPIN is that NO MAJOR STARS have been over there. He uses Bob Hope as an example.
Such BULLSHIT and pure CRAP. Go to the USO WEB Site and see the shows they have provided. Click here to visit the USO site. These folks are BIGGER STARS than Bill O'Reilly will ever be. They don't do it to be able to come back and TRASH TALK others. He doesn't know what that hell he's talking about. I hope the USO rep sets him straight tonight. * *THEY HAVE NO GUTS
When will we ever learn. And so the song goes. When will we ever learn. Yesterday on the news I heard that 60% of the fighters in IRAQ are coming from Saudi Arabia and Libya. Saudi Arabia is our so called ally.
Then there is that awful rape victim that the United States is staying mum about. The Bush Administration refuses to condemn Saudi Court's punishment of gang Rape Victim. In his second inaugural address, President Bush stridently declared that his administration would not compromise on its demand for basic human rights. We will persistently clarify the choice before every ruler and every nation: The moral choice between oppression, which is always wrong, and freedom, which is eternally right. America will not pretend. . . that women welcome humiliation and servitude. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice referred to these goals as the "non-negotiable demands of human dignity." But a recent Saudi court decision has shown the administration very willing to fold when this rhetoric is tested. A week ago, a Saudi appeals court increased the punishment for the female victim of a gang rape. The woman, who had been appealing her original sentence of 90 lashes, was sentenced to six months in prison and 200 lashes after her appeal. The Saudi judges more than doubled the punishment for the victim because of "her attempt to aggravate and influence the judiciary through the media." The Saudi Justice Ministry confirmed that the stiffer sentence handed out on appeal stemmed from the fact that the victim had gone to the media with her story. "Media may have adverse effects on the other parties involved in the case," a statement said. Asked to offer the administration's position on the court ruling, State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said on Monday that the administration was "astonished," but had "nothing else to offer". The Muslim American Society Freedom called the court ruling "a clear violation of the compassion and mercy taught by the religion of Islam." Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) states, "I urge President Bush to call on King Abdullah to cancel the ruling and drop all charges against this woman." In a letter to Condoleezza Rice, Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) wrote, "I strongly urge the Department of State to condemn this ruling." Sen. Joe Biden (D-DE) and John Edwards released statements expressing their outrage. Where the hell is LAURA BUSH in all this CRAP? I thought she would be the one person to speak up for women. Guess not I haven't heard a peep from her have you. In recent weeks, the Bush administration has cited declining violence in Iraq as evidence of the success. Earlier this month, President Bush said that Iraqis are slowly "taking back their country." But the other night, NBC Nightly News aired a segment about a "wave of violence that's gone largely unreported lately against women in Iraq." The report noted that Iraqi women, once "the most emancipated in the Arab world," are increasingly unable to walk around without a hijab, wear cosmetics, or work. Watch the report: * *JUST REMINDER TO WATCH BILL_O TONIGHT AND WATCH HIM SPIN
This is where I would normally have the Worst Person In The World but I want to remind everyone to watch Bill and see if he has the guts to apoligize for his recent USO comments.
