The Supreme Court announced Tuesday that it would decide whether the Constitution grants individuals the right to keep guns in their homes for private use, plunging the justices headlong into a divisive and long-running debate over how to interpret the Second Amendment's guarantee of the "right of the people to keep and bear arms."
I know they won't ask me but when I was a kid about 7-8 years old my brother and I were at a friends house playing. His folks weren't home at the time. Our friend got a gun out that his dad had to show us. He said the safety was on and besides it wasn't loaded. I was standing about 10 feet away when the gun went off. The bullet missed me by about 3-4 feet which is damn close when you think about it. I don't know or remember if my friend ever got in trouble or not but I do know I've never wanted or needed a gun in all these years. I'm 71 now so you can do the math. People hurt people and guns help them do it. It's not just the criminal. . . we where kids for gods sake. Get rid of guns. They can't help.THINK THIS COULD BE THE RESULT?

It was Dean willingness to reveal the details of what described as "a cancer" on the Nixon presidency that served as a critical turning point in the struggle by a previous Congress to hold the 37th president to account. Now, McClellan has offered what any honest observer must recognize as the stuff of a similarly significant breakthrough. The only question is whether the current Congress is up to the task of holding the 43rd president to account.
