THERE YOU GO AGAIN!!!
MORE TO SAY
THE MESS
OVERHAUL URGED IN CARE FOR SOLDIERS - WELL DUH !!!
Why the hell does it take a "presidential commission" to examine the care given to wounded U.S. service members? I thought that was why you have a Veterans Affairs Secretary, am I wrong?
I remember when the Walter Reed scandal came up last year. IMUS was on it like paint calling for changes NOW. At the time he said the VA was in the same boat and NEEDS CHANGES. He was the first voice calling for changes NOW.
IMUS was the first to call for better life insurance for the troops as well. So he ends up off the air because of a stupid comment. Where is the justice.
Anyway, what the hell has Veterans Affairs Secretary Jim Nicholson been doing for the past 5-6 years? One thing good is that he has resigned on the other hand it isn't effective for a couple of months. Any bets on the kind of Lobbying job he'll get? How bought his starting salary.
I am so sick of that GOD DAMN "SUPPORT THE TROOPS" slogan that these BASTARDS use to make it look like they are doing something when in fact they are sipping cocktails and doing NOTHING FOR THE TROOPS.
In the words of Senator Bryd "BARBARIC, BARBARIC, BARBARIC, BARBARIC".
FORT LEWIS WON'T SWITCH TO MONTHLY MEMORIALS
Sometimes they get it right.
The commanding general of Fort Lewis' I Corps said Wednesday that the Army base will continue holding individual memorials for fallen soldiers rather than switching to monthly ceremonies.
In May, Brig. Gen. William Troy, then-acting commanding general, sparked outrage when he announced Fort Lewis would begin holding one monthly service for soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Critics suggested mass memorials would deny soldiers the individual tributes they deserve.
The base has lost 141 soldiers in Iraq since the war started in March 2003 and nine in Afghanistan since that war began in October 2001, Fort Lewis spokesman Joe Hitt said Wednesday. That's about 1580 days with a service of every 10 days. Is that to much to ask.
This idea falls in line with the same thinking that has gone on about this war since it started 5 years ago - - - OUT OF SIGHT OUT OF MIND.

PRETTY GOOD JOKES
POINT OF VIEW
THE BOTTLE OF WINE
Sally was driving home from one of her business trips in Northern Arizona when she saw an elderly Navajo woman walking on the side of the road. As the trip was a long and quiet one, she stopped the car and asked the Navajo woman if she would like a ride. With a word or two of thanks, she got in the car. After resuming the journey and a bit of small talk, the Navajo woman noticed a brown bag on the seat next to Sally.
"What's in the bag?" asked the old woman. Sally looked down at the brown bag and said, "It's a bottle of wine. I got it for my husband."
The Navajo woman was silent for a moment, and then speaking with the quiet wisdom of an elder said, "Good trade."
