SHE WILL NEVER BACK OFF
Elizabeth Edwards phoned into "Hardball". today and called Ann Coulter out. Part of the conversation revolved around Coulter's slander of Edwards on ABC as well as other remarks.
It was clear she was stunned by the call when Matthews announced who was on the line. But as Edwards laid out her case, Coulter immediately started flipping her hair and stuttering. The point was that the personal, negative attacks by Coulter are hurting politics and aren't good for this country.
Ann Coulter is a load mouth!!! But she sure as hell can sell a book to the right wing whacko's that follow her and believe her every word. The sad thing is they agree with her potty mouth and think that by listening to her they are having a real honest discussion. What BULLSHIT.
I came away knowing that in her twisted little mind Ann thinks she won that discussion but in the end you'll see she had to fall back on her OLD well USED tools of JUST MORE HATE.
How sad.
REBATE, I HATE REBATES
A couple of weeks ago I got a letter in the mail with a big red and white sign on it saying "IMPORTANT Installed Dishwasher SAFETY NOTICE Enclosed". It looked very official and important so I left it on my kitchen table thinking I would open it a little later.
Well it's been about three weeks since then and today I decided maybe I need to see what is so important, so I opened and read it. It turns out my dishwasher is being recalled and I shouldn't use it. Hey Mick might be a good idea to open mail that is marked "IMPORTANT" right away don't you think.
I checked the model and serial number on my machine and it was one that was being recalled. I have two options Sears will fix it for free or give me a $150.00 rebate. The down side of the rebate is that I need to first buy the new dishwasher and then turn in all the paperwork to get the $150.00 rebate.
I've talked about rebates before because I hate them most of the time. Costco does the best job by at least allowing you to do it online. I think the best way to use a rebate is RIGHT NOW AT THE CHECKOUT STAND, but they won't do that because they know that many people won't submit the paperwork once they get home which means the company doesn't have to pay.
Since my dishwasher is about 7-8 years old I decided I'd take the $150.00 rebate option. So today I went down to Sears to check out the dishwashers. What a sock they start at about $270 for the plain-jane model all the way up to around $1200 for the one I want (just kidding).
I'd say to replace my current dishwasher with one in the same price range is going to cost me about $350.00 plus installation, maybe another $100.00. So I'd say about $450 total. So it looks like I'm going to fork out about $300 bucks.
I wonder if this is just a scam to get people to replace their older systems with new ones. NAW they wouldn't do that . . . would they???
