EARMARKS
CNN conducted a survey this past week seeking information on each House members "EARMARKS". Only 45 members provided their requests. 6 said they had not requested any. 68 flat out refused. The rest did not respond.
As far as I know the CNN interns that made the phone calls are all U. S. citizens and I feel are entitled to know where their TAX DOLLARS are being spent regardless of weather or not they live in that district.
I was more than disappointed when I checked out the response from members from Washington State. Four said NO. Four didn't have the courtesy of even providing a response. ONLY Adam Smith (D) of the 9th district had the guts to provide his list.
REP. NANCY PELOSI, (D) HOUSE SPEAKER said "If I just might direct the record to another place, why don't we just leave this room today forgetting the word EARMARK? This is LEGISLATIVELY DIRECTED SPENDING as opposed to executive spending." Yea I'll bet she want's to forget the word EARMARK.
To me this WORDSMITHING is just more of the same crap the republicans like to do. For example the words ESTATE TAX is now DEATH TAX to make it sound bad. Nancy has taken a page out of their play book with this same kind of "wordsmithing" nonsense.
With the current LOW approval ratings of congress I don't think any member should feel secure in his/her position. You know and I know that the American people are disenchanted with politicians.
You TALK about OPENNESS and TRANSPARENCY but when it's time to put the rubber to the road where the hell are you.
I believe there is a change taking place in the country. I know I'm rethinking my positions. I want someone that can not only say what they believe but follow that up with ACTION not BS. If you have some EARMARKS publish the damn list. Support your position, that is unless you have something to hide. Don't ever take my vote for granted. I voted for you for a specific amount of time NOT FOR LIFE. Like a ball player you have to prove yourself every day not just because of yesterdays game. What I'm saying is that folks that feel secure in their position SHOULDN'T. The voters will Take Back Their Country.
Now will you provide me with a list of your EARMARKS.

BIG BAD BILL-O
Today I'm doing a three for the price of one on the WORLD'S CRAZEST TALKING HEAD ON TV, Bill O'Reilly. He is in no way a journalist and if you think he is maybe you need to take some time off. The first two deals with a gal by the name of Robin Swanson, a Democratic Consultant. In the first video he's being so DUMB he can't understand what is being said. Stated another way he doesn't like the answer because it doesn't fit into his simple minded way of thinking. In this first video he just cuts her off after talking over her. The second video would be funny except it is truly sad. The one thing he does say that makes sense is that he's a SIMPLE man. Well he's got that right. He talks over her and then cuts he off and bids her a due. How crude is that. Media Matters will document it and the O-MAN will once again deny that he cut her off.THE JERK

The BIG JERK O'Reilly is the dumbest guy on the block. He claims he doesn't understand her answer. He doesn't know what she is saying, he doesn't understand her answer and then he won't let her finish.

In this video the BIG ASS takes it one step further by cutting her off and bidding her a due. Man I'd love to see someone just get up and walk off the set on this guy. That would be great.
THE BIG DUMB ASS AND A JERK TOO

The BIG DUMB ASS and a JERK TOO is the last video. This one deals with his obsession with what goes on in High Schools, in this case it's Boulder High in Boulder, Colorado.
See my June 2nd Post for the original story. In this video he has two students that go to Boulder. One didn't think the conference was appropriate the other said it was great, his name is Jesse Lange.
I think he is 17 years old and as you'll see in the video hold hi own against the CRAZY MAN.
You can always tell when O'Reilly is about to go all crazy. In this case look at his facial expression as Jesse quotes from his book "Factor For Kids". He has the dumbest grin on his face. Then he goes crazy and loses it by saying "I KNOW WHAT YOU PIN HEADS DO". Can you imagine O'Reilly saying anyone take things out of context when he does that routinely, just look at that June 2nd post to see how he does it.
It was great just watching Jesse Lange a 17 year old out debate the Dirty Old Man O'Reilly.
