I was 5 or 6 when FDR spoke those words. Even though I was quite young I felt safe and I didn't worry. Sure Japan had pulled a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor and yes over 2400 Americans were dead. But the government never pulled out the FEAR CARD every fifteen minutes.
To be sure the attack on Pearl Harbor was used to promote an agenda but that agenda was to rally America behind the war NOT TO SCARE US as is the case today.
Today we all want to feel safe and secure but we don't want or need this BULLSHIT that we have seen in these recent busts that just don't have a snowballs chance in hell of succeeding and yet we have this major press conference with all the stern faces talking as though they caught these guys in the eleventh hour.
Like I say we do want the Homeland Security to do it's job without the hype. Listen to this series and make up your own mind. I think you'll agree with me that this type of announcement does just one thing it takes our eye off the ball and creates nothing but FEAR.
What I worry about is that through the use of FEAR a larger agenda is put in place.
