ARE THE DEMOCRATES NUTS OR WHAT???

This is what I said yesterday about the Democrates teaming up with FOX NOISE NETWORK to conduct a democratic debate in Nevada.

The Democrats have agreed to have "FOX NOISE" Network host a debate later this year in Nevada. Brit Hume will moderate.

Why they agreed to this is in my mind NUTS. There is no way that FOX can be Fair and Balanced when it comes to the democrats.

When any democrat is on that Network they are TRASHED in one way or another. Do you remember the Fox and Friends smear on Obama just a couple of weeks ago. Have you heard the smears and bullshit of Dick Morris on that Fair and Balanced Network.

O'Reilly, Hannitty, Hume, Fox and Friends, John Gibson and others have all taken shots at the dems. It's a well documented fact that all these shows speak for the republicans and use their talking points.

I think the dems are nuts to allow them to do this under the guise of a debate.

Watching FOX is painful and infuriating. Sometimes I just can't bring myself to watch it. But the NewsHounds do, as does Media Matters. So, when I started reading their alerts about FOX's vicious and irresponsible smear campaign against Barack Obama, the OutFoxed blood in me got boiling once again and I knew it was time to take action.

So my colleagues at Brave New Films and I went to work with our tool of choice -- FILM -- to illustrate what a biased and partisan mouthpiece for the right wing FOX is.

Earlier this week it was announced that FOX would host a Presidential Primary debate for the Democratic Party of Nevada. This farce must be stopped. FOX cannot be allowed to pretend for one day they are a news organization.

If you are thinking, 'why bother? Who cares? No one believes or listens to what FOX says,' I have two words for you -- Swift Boat. Keeping the Swift Boaters alive was FOX's main contribution to the 2004 elections. FOX's bias does not just reach those who knowingly tune in to the likes of Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity. Other media become influenced by and pick up stories from FOX. Thus, the bias spreads like a cancer -- destroying honest news coverage.

As we head toward the presidential election, the need for professional and objective news reporting is more critical then ever. Please work with FOX ATTACK to keep alerting the world of their distortions. Help make it clear that FOX is not a real news channel but a partisan network. Please take a few minutes to sign the petition, help us notify the sponsors we don't support this kind of distortion, and share your ideas on how we can further get the word out about the true face of FOX.

The Democratic Party of Nevada just announced plans to team up with Fox News for a presidential primary debate. But Fox isn't a legitimate news channel. It's a right-wing mouthpiece like Rush Limbaugh and the Drudge Report—repeating false Republican talking points to smear Democrats.

This is the message that the Pacific Palisades High School ( California ) staff voted unanimously to record on their school telephone answering machine. This is the actual answering machine message for the school. This came about because they implemented a policy requiring students and parents to be responsible for their children's absences and missing homework. The school and teachers are being sued by parents who want their children's failing grades changed to passing grades - even though those children were absent 15-30 times during the semester and did not complete enough schoolwork to pass their classes.

The outgoing message:

"Hello! You have reached the automated answering service of your school. In order to assist you in connecting to the right staff member, please listen to all the options before making a selection:

* To lie about why your child is absent - Press 1

* To make excuses for why your child did not do his homework- Press 2

* To complain about what we do - Press 3

* To swear at staff members - Press 4)

* To ask why you didn't get information that was already enclosed in your newsletter and several flyers mailed to you - Press 5

* If you want us to raise your child - Press 6

* If you want to reach out and touch, slap or hit someone -Press 7

* To request another teacher, for the third time this year -Press 8

* To complain about bus transportation - Press 9

* To complain about school lunches - Press 0

* If you realize this is the real world and your child must be accountable and responsible for his/her own behavior, class work, homework and that it's not the teachers' fault for your child's lack of effort, hang up and have a nice day!
