IT'S BEEN A DAY ALREADY
QUICK STAT:
Please give what you can.
STATE OF THE BLACK UNION
I saw Tavis Smiley on C-SPAN yesterday and today I'm watching the program STATE OF THE BLACK UNION.
Right now their talking about Economic Empowerment and the Black Community. They have a panel of 10 people basically from the business world. These people are smart and honest. They are talking about stuff I wish I had heard 50 years ago. They are saying things that I haven't heard from the black leadership ever.
I think we are seeing a change in direction for the black leadership. They are all talking about what WE (the people) not the Government have to do to make our life better.
I have to say this has been one of the most lively debates I've seen. These folks are not pulling their punches. They are telling it like it is.
These are the people that should be the leaders. And maybe one day they will be.
This program is on C-SPAN most of the day today. You should watch if you have a few minutes. More to follow.
THIS IS WAY TO EASY
The other day on CNN's Cafferty File they asked who was our biggest enemy. I wrote in the following.
We attack a country that is no threat. We pass a prescription drugs program that helps the Drug Companies, we pass a bankruptcy Law that doesn't help the folks that need help, we want to turn over our ports to a foreign country.
I could go on but you get the idea. . . WE ARE OUR OWN WORST ENEMY.
WHAT'S THAT SOUND
With all the turmoil going on in Iraq right now I see the strategy already coming from the right. They are starting to say that many people on the left are "HOPING" there will be a full blown civil war in Iraq. That's BULLSHIT!!!
Any thinking person would see that a civil war puts our troops in the middle of the fight. I don't know anyone that wants to see a civil war if it can be avoided. We all hope and pray that the Iraqi leaders and the people can get control of this situation and bring peace and freedom to the area.
That's what I want.
NO WORDS NEEDED
PRETTY GOOD JOKE
