NICE JOB CONGRESS, YOU KNEW IT WOULD HAPPEN RIGHT

CongRate_122605.jpg

As I said in my 12/20/2005 post congress found a way to fool the American public. They have no shame. Do they ever wonder why their ratings are in the tank?

They tried to make it look like they had stopped the funds for the Bridge to Nowhere that Alaska Senator Ted Stevens wanted. TURNS OUT THEY DIDN'T. They did a little slight of hand and hoped that America wouldn't notice.

Well we are watching and hopefully will do something about it in 2006 and 2008.

Watch the VIDEO.

Watch this short video and you decide if I'm right or wrong. <----( watch the video here )

HE'S BACCCKKKKKKKK

NASCAR_122605.jpg

Man I don't know how G.E.B. did it but he had a letter published in the Kitsap Sun on 12/21/2005 and now here it is 12/25/2005 and he's back at it. I thought the Sun had a once a month policy. Well so much for the rules.

Anyway, I responded to his letter here on 12/22/2005 and fell I need to do it again. Here is what he said:

NASCAR

It Won't Cost Taxpayers Anything

Boy! My last letter sure struck a nerve with some of the liberal NASCAR-haters didn't it?

Letter-writer Mr. Denis LaCrosse seems to think that building that track is corporate welfare. One guy from Port Angeles wants to force me to move next to the track. That's interesting! He seems to think that the noise will impact him way up there.

The only thing that ICS is getting from the State - not Kitsap County - is the ability to sell bonds to finance half the cost of that track which will be paid back through increased taxes generated by the facility. It will not cost the County or State taxpayers a dime.

The only risk takers in this whole matter will be the bond-holders. In the unlikely event that ICS goes el foldo, the bon-holders can go after the other 12 racetracks the ICS owns across the nation. That would be much easier than the impossible task of going after the taxpayers.

As with Wal-Mart, if you don't support that store or the track, just don't go and it will cost you nothing. This isn't all that complicated, but the libs just can't or don't want to understand.

G. E. B. Port Orchard

There you go again G. E. B. bashing the liberals as NASCAR HATERS. I swear to God people like you need to find NEW TALKING POINTS. I mean if we're not Hating NASCAR, we're Hating Bush or we're Hating the Troops or we Hate America. I'm just waiting for you to say we Hate Motherhood and Apple Pie.

Plus how do you know it's only "THE LIBERALS" that don't want STATE FUNDING for NASCAR. Isn't that what conservatives stand for, fiscal responsibility and less government?

You'll excuse me I'm sure if I do a little follow up on your statement "The only risk takers in this whole matter will be the bond-holders." I seem to remember reading that that is not exactly how it would work and so I'm doing some research and will Post whatever I find here on my BLOG.

Ever wonder what Mona Lisa does when the Museum is closed?
