Sen. Frist's Campaign Committee lost $16,000 since Jan 2005 in the stock market. He also lost $500,000 in his Charles Schwab mutual fund account since 2000.

Now if that was Sen. Frist ONLY source of retirement my guess is he wouldn't be to happy right about now. But of course unlike you and me this is not his only source of retirement and so it's not a big deal.

Do you want to take the risk with your retirement account. My guess is no. You might go for a NEW SEPARATE ADDITIONAL option to allow people to contribute some additional amount into the market but FIX Social Security, you do that by solving the solvency problem first.

President Bush submitted 215 judges for confirmation and 205 have been confirmed. These guys are behaving like 2 year olds that don't get their way...this is just silly stuff 95% approval is not bad just ask his father and Bill Clinton.

NASCAR VOTE - ARE YOU NUTS

There was a letter to the editor in the SUN today calling for a vote on the idea of developing a NASCAR track here in Kitsap County. This track idea has some support and some critics, to be honest I haven't followed it close enough to have a sense of how it is divided. My guess is that it's about 50-50 right now.

What I don't understand in all of these big dollar projects like sports stadiums is why the tax payer needs to fund the damn things. I mean in baseball they pay A-Rod $250 million and I'm sure that these NASCAR jocks are not standing in any food line so why can't they put up the money for this track.

What I can say from my following the Bremerton Tunnel problem if the Commissioners are behind this idea you'll never see a vote on it.
