I keep track of my gas purchases. I've always bought my gas at Costco because I think it's the cheapest in Kitsap County. I went back to January 2002 because that was the last time I paid under a $1.00 per gallon (.979 to be exact).
Looking at the chart you can see the Trend line is always going up. I believe the TARGET threshold is $3.00 before we see a leveling off or short pause to catch our breath. But it will continue up.

NEW DELHI: Tatas-controlled Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd (VSNL) on Wednesday got clearance from a US government agency for acquisition of undersea cable assets of Tyco Global Network (TGN) for $130 million. The approval by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) will give VSNL control over 60,000 km of undersea communications cable spanning three continents.
TYCO has now been sold to a foreign Company. The U.S. Government approved the sale. One more piece of our Hi-Tech sold. How We can sell our Infrastructure to any foreign country is beyond me. Are we NUTS...
